Why does the “usage” in the MyFlexiO app not match the usage on my energy bill?
The usage shown in the MyFlexiO app differs from your energy bill because the app measures the total energy consumption in your home, including the electricity you generate yourself with solar panels and a battery. Your bill only shows the amount of energy you have drawn from and fed back to the grid, as your energy supplier only has the meter readings from your electricity meter.
Why do I earn less from net balancing than someone else?
The income from net balancing does not depend solely on the number of solar panels or the size of your battery. While those factors play a role, they are not the only things that matter.

What matters is how much flexibility your system can provide at any given moment: how full or empty your battery is, your current and estimated future consumption, and whether your system is available when the grid needs assistance.

Two households with identical solar panels can have very different consumption profiles at the same time. If your battery is already full, or if you are consuming a lot at that moment, FlexiO has less room to step in, and you earn less than someone whose system has more flexibility at that time.

The type of net balancing also matters. With rPOWR we reserve capacity in advance through bids, while with ePOWR we look at live imbalances on our electricity grid.

Why do I have a negative ‘MyPOWR Price’?
Your MyPOWR price is negative because you have a negative energy bill/cost for this period. Receiving money back instead of paying for energy also results in a negative MyPOWR price.
Why has my energy consumption or injection increased after participating in grid balancing?
Your energy cost is temporarily higher because FlexiO charges or discharges faster during grid balancing, causing more energy to flow through your digital meter. The compensation you receive fully covers these additional costs, so your net benefit remains unchanged.
Why is an ePOWR rate a variable rate?
The ePOWR rate from Trevion is officially classified as a variable rate because the energy market requires suppliers to label each rate strictly as fixed, variable, or dynamic. Although it is labeled variable on paper, behind the scenes it is a highly dynamic rate. With this ePOWR rate you get all the benefits of a dynamic rate while enjoying the peace of mind of a variable rate. The reason for choosing this “variable jacket” is that presenting the rate as variable means the customer does not have to constantly react to the signals of dynamic energy prices. Manual optimization would actually work against the revenues generated from ePOWR services. The EMS+ system handles everything fully automatically and efficiently.
Why is my net balancing temporarily interrupted?
Your installation shows “temporarily interrupted” because LIFEPOWR automatically paused grid balancing due to an insufficient quality measurement. FlexiO remains active for savings. Balancing is checked weekly, and once the quality is sufficient again, you will receive an email and the grid balancing will reactivate automatically; no further action is required on your part.

If you want to investigate the cause yourself, check the following:
1. Is the FlexiObox online?
2. Is the control active? Look in the app to see if inverter and battery data are visible; if they are missing, check the physical connection and restart the router and inverter.
3. Is the P1 cable connected to both the digital meter and the FlexiObox (or dongle)? Verify via your utility account that the P1 port is active.
4. Ensure a direct Ethernet connection between FlexiObox, network switch, and inverter; avoid powerline adapters and Wi‑Fi extenders.
Why is so much energy being fed into the grid?
Because your installation participates in rPOWR (FCR) and/or ePOWR (imbalance), energy is sometimes injected into the grid. With rPOWR this is mainly due to PV surplus and fast frequency reactions, where the battery is sometimes reserved for the FCR service.

With ePOWR an imbalance signal can cause the battery to discharge or the PV surplus to be exported directly.

In both cases low local consumption leads to injection of the excess power. FlexiO will always try to create the best possible financial benefit. Evaluate FlexiO not per action, but look at the overall financial picture (monthly, seasonal or yearly).
Why is there temporarily no live data in the app (real-time data not loading)?
There is currently a small outage causing real-time data in the myFlexiO app to be temporarily unavailable. This is only a display issue: your installation continues to operate normally, the control remains active, and you do not lose any savings. Our team is working on a solution, and the app display will automatically recover once the outage is resolved. No action is required on your part.
