My monthly peak suddenly increased a lot, what happened?
A sudden increase in your monthly peak can have various causes:

1. Grid balancing qualification tests
During tests for grid balancing, FlexiO may temporarily allow higher flows. This is not an error - it shows your installation is ready for rPOWR participation. The extra revenues from grid balancing more than compensate for the higher peak cost.

2. Large consumer
A new consumer (charging station, heat pump, jacuzzi) can cause peaks. FlexiO learns this pattern after a few weeks.

3. Measurement error
Rarely: a brief measurement error due to e.g., power outage.

What does FlexiO do?
- This month: the higher consumption is allowed if this is to your advantage
- Next month: normal settings are followed again

Contact us if the peak remains unexplained.
My tariff is not in the selection list - what now?
The list of available dynamic tariffs for FlexiO is very extensive and is regularly updated. If your tariff is not yet available, contact your installer, he can often manually add it to your configuration.
What does wattage in the green circle on the real-time mean?
The number in the green circle shows your current power usage and your current monthly peak in Watts. This is the highest 15-minute average grid consumption this month. FlexiO tries to keep this peak low to limit your capacity tariff. The number may change if you register a new peak.
What does the flashing red light on my FlexiObox mean?
LED statusses explained:
Green continuously: FlexiObox is online and working correctly
Red continuously: Reboot the FlexiObox. If the issue remains, contact LIFEPOWR support.
Red blinking (”heartbeat”): This is not an issue, your installer probably forgot to turn off the identifier function. Contact LIFEPOWR, we can resolve this remotely.
- No LED: there is probably a power supply issue. Try another power supply (eg. from your smart phone) to see if this resolves the issue. If not, contact LIFEPOWR support.
What happens during a power outage?
FlexiO cannot be active without a grid connection. The backup power function (if your inverter supports this) works independently of FlexiO. Check your inverter specifications for backup capabilities.
What if I have two inverters?
Multi-inverter (master-slave) setup can be possible for certain compatible brands and models. Your installer can help you to see if your setup is compatible with FlexiO.
What if my battery configuration is wrong in FlexiO?
An incorrect battery configuration can lead to incorrect savings calculations or suboptimal control.

Common problem:
The battery is configured with the wrong capacity (e.g., 10 kWh while it is actually 15 kWh), causing incorrect figures in the savings display.

Solution:
1. For a quick solution, contact your installer first. They can solve this for you.
2. Contact LIFEPOWR support via the contact form. The support team can check and adjust the configuration.

Check yourself:
- Look in the MyFlexiO app under Settings to see if the battery data is correct
- Compare with your installer's specifications
What is curtailment and how does it work with FlexiO?
Curtailment = limiting solar injection to the grid when it would result in negative costs.

How does it work?
On sunny days with low demand, you may have to pay to put power on the grid. FlexiO prevents this by:
1. First consuming or storing as much solar energy as possible in the battery
2. If that's not possible: making solar production follow your home consumption

Requirements:
- Your inverter must support curtailment (check the compatibility list)
- If your inverter is compatible, you don't need to do anything.

See lifepowr.io/inverters for compatible inverters.
What is the FlexiO e-book?
The ebook is a free ebook with explanation about: home battery optimisation, grid balancing, capacity tariff savings, dynamic tariff. Download via lifepowr.io or the Knowledge Base
What is the difference between Engie Dynamic and Engie Empower Dynamic?
Both are dynamic tariffs from Engie. In FlexiO, select the correct tariff in your settings. The difference lies in the exact tariff structure and offering. FlexiO supports both - make sure you select the right one for accurate control. If in doubt: check your Engie contract for the exact product name. For more info visit the website of Engie.
